Peoplesnapper: New Images
Elevated Envelope
I took part in the Elevated Envelope project which ending May 2012 for which I created some handmade envelopes from constituent paper parts of vintage board games. I have also received some wonderful envelopes in return, one of which is this fantastic folded photograph envelope form Cathy Stewart in New York. Brilliant! Check out the envelopes I sent and those I have received so far on my Mail Art page.
four nests
Another artist’s book – this time a little more complicated to construct but beautiful and very sculptural when finished. The book features four fold out photographs from by Nests series, and you can see more images of the finished book here.
girl on the stairs
I have just completed my latest artists book, entitled Girl on the Stairs, which features collages of my own black and white photographs. More images of the book can be found here.
New Bird’s Nest Photograph
New Bird’s Nest Photograph
Happy to say that I’ve been spending a little time in the studio working on one of my art photography projects, which records bird’s nests found in the garden abandoned by their previous owners. It’s hard to identify the species of bird from the nests I (or increasingly, my friends) find, so any help there would be most welcome. For the time being, therefore, this new photograph is entitled Unidentified #3. I will post another over the next couple of days but the four photographs in the series so far can be viewed here:
Mail art – a new venture!
Mail art is a worldwide cultural movement that began in the early 1960s and involves sending visual art through the international postal system. My first project is part of The Elevated Envelope II, run by Ephemera, and the five recipients that have been selected for me will be receiving envelopes (with a little something extra inside) based on the theme of recycled board games.
